We started the morning when Reese and Elliott finally got out of bed! I guess all that late-night partying wore them out! I made cinnamon rolls and eggs for breakfast. Reese ate every bite! Then we decided to go sledding. We circled around the backyard and front yard and down the driveway a few times. We definitely got our cardio workout in! Reese loved it- especially going in circles! After that we all came in and took a nap. Our plan had been to go out for Mexican food (Reese's favorite), but we didn't want to brave the cold, so Elliott ran out and got us Taco Bell instead. Same thing, right? After that we had Reese paint on a canvas. I plan on doing this each year with her. Maybe we'll cover a wall with them someday. Her favorite part was picking up the paints and carrying them around. She did ok with it until she tried to eat the paint. Then she decided she hated everything about it and wanted me to hold her even though she was covered in paint. Then we moved into the bathtub. I thought it would be fun to give her pudding to paint with, so that she could actually eat the paint. But, she hated it. So she took a regular bath instead and that was just perfect for her. :-) After her bath we sang happy birthday and ate some of the cupcakes I baked for her to take to daycare tomorrow. Reese crashed pretty early. I think that means it was a good day!
I have lots more ideas in mind for future birthdays! I can't wait to watch her continue to grow!
