It's a boy.

Well. It's a boy. I really wanted another girl, so I'm adjusting to the idea of having a boy. I was looking forward to Reese having a sister and being able to reuse her clothes, but on the flip side, this is a great chance for me to do a little retail damage, since we don't didn't own a single gender neutral thing. I know we will love having a baby boy and that this is the perfect plan for our family.

Such a sweet gift from my brother's girlfriend, Marissa.

This boy's wardrobe is coming along, thanks to a sale at Baby Gap. :-) I might have a thing for stripes!

I have a few ideas for the nursery, but I'm going to keep those a secret until we get a few things accomplished. I LOVE designing new rooms, so I am dying to get started!

Biggest Cravings: cranberry juice, cheez-its, fruit, and peanut buster parfaits from DQ
Biggest Food Aversions:  none right now! yippee!
Clothes: Maxi dresses, mostly maternity shorts (because they're SO comfortable), and a mix of maternity and regular shirts.
Body:  I missed taking an 18 week picture, but there's a huge difference between the 17 week and 19 week pictures. We've both grown a lot in 2 weeks!
Energy/Mood: I'm feeling great! I'm trying to enjoy every minute of sitting cross-legged on the floor, sleeping comfortably, and being able to pick up Reese without having a belly in the way.
Movement: Lots of flutters and kicks. I can tell when he's awake! Elliott can feel him kick now, which is so fun. Can't wait until Reese can feel/see her brother kick as well. Maybe then she'll believe that there's really a baby in there (and not in her tummy)!
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty well. Not waking up much at night and getting used to sleeping on my side again.
Best Moment this week: Finalizing some of the room decorating ideas! I'm so excited to start decorating!
Miss Anything?  I'm not tolerating the heat as well as I normally do. I'm preferring the air-conditioning these days! :-)
Looking forward to: More shopping for Baby Boy Ybarra!

19 weeks...almost 1/2 way!

Reese isn't sure about this guy!

Flashback photos of when I was pregnant with Reese!

Another flashback of when I was pregnant with Reese.

And here are a few pictures of our son!

Feet! He's going to have big feet like his sister!

Hi mom and dad! I weigh 6 ounces already!

Gotta have a skeleton shot!

It's definitely a boy!
Here's the profile of our baby boy!

And here's the profile of Reese to compare. Do they look like siblings to you?

Reese and I have been having a fabulous summer together. We LOVE going to library story time every week. We have also enjoyed going to parks, seeing all of our friends, going to lots of birthday parties, shopping, taking swimming lessons with our friend Erin, hitting up Sonic Happy Hour several times a week, and playing in our backyard. I love spending this time with her. It is priceless.

Just a little date to Freddy's with this cute girl.

Visiting the zoo with our friend Tatum. Reese LOVES the elephants best!

Just a couple of toddlers avoiding nap time...

Thanks for reading!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Reese is so lucky to have an amazing dad in her life. I love watching them interact and I can't wait to see the bond baby #2 has with Elliott as well. I am also lucky to have a great dad in my life who is a fantastic grandpa (or "crap-pa" as Reese says). :-)

Below is a picture of a little gift Reese made for Elliott, idea courtesy of Pinterest. Elliott and I also went on a date night to YaYa's for dinner and Cocoa Dolce for dessert. Yum!

Tomorrow we have our 18 week sonogram! We should be able to find out if this baby is a girl or boy! Stay tuned! We've been so busy with summer activities that this sonogram has snuck up on me. But now that the day is here, I'm anxious to start decorating and shopping for him/her!

Biggest Cravings: cranberry juice, ice cream, chocolate, goldfish crackers, pancakes
Biggest Food Aversions:  I've been able to eat most foods now, but red sauces and red meat still aren't my favorites...
Clothes: I've been wearing maternity shorts with some regular and some maternity tops, maxi dresses and skirts and lots of comfy athletic shorts & tees. I'm loving not having to dress up for work every day!
Body:  I'm doing pretty well! I think you can tell I'm pregnant at this point, but it probably depends on the outfit.
Energy/Mood: I've had a lot of energy! Reese and I have been busy enjoying the summer, so I am so thankful my energy is back! I've also been a bit of a cleaning nut lately...like I've been deep cleaning all the carpet & furniture in the entire house...
Movement: I feel some little kicks and flutters every day now. Elliott thinks he even felt one kick earlier this week. This might be the one thing I love about being pregnant.

Sleep: Well, I'm a side-sleeper now. :-( I am surviving, but not loving it. It takes me a good 10 minutes to get situated each night and I'm constantly flopping around all night. Luckily it doesn't seem to be bothering Elliott, although he's smart for not mentioning it if it is bothering him. ;-)

Best Moment this week: Reese and I loved meeting Addison Mayo, who was born this week to my good friend Marilee & her husband Matt. You forget how tiny they are when they are born! We are looking forward to experiencing that stage again!
Miss Anything?  Sleeping on my back and wine at dinner.
Looking forward to: Not having to call this baby "it" much longer!!!

Here are my 16 and 17 week pictures and a few others from the last few weeks.

15 Week Stats

Here are a few statistics!

I'm 15 1/2 weeks pregnant.
I've been pregnant for 109 days.
Only 171 days more to go!
The baby is 4 inches long (the size of an orange).
We have 15 days until our sonogram.
Reese is 29 months old today.
She will be 2 1/2 next month. Crazy.

Biggest Cravings: popcorn, Mexican food, orange juice, cranberry juice, BLT's, fruit, Cheerios with bananas, potato chips with salsa, ice cream, & French fries. Now we're really getting into the fun pregnancy cravings!Biggest Food Aversions:  Red meat
Clothes: I broke down & bought a few maternity items this week and dug through my old stuff, too. Why was I waiting to pull out my maternity shorts? I forgot how comfy they were!
Body:  Trying to wrangle a 2 year old while you're pregnant is a game changer. My back already hurts! :-(
Energy/Mood: Lots of energy! My mood is good as long as I'm fed.
Movement: I KNOW I felt a kick this week while sitting on the couch. Just a little thump like someone was flicking me from the inside. Totally made my week!

Sleep: Only 3 more days of sleeping on my back...but who's counting...
Best Moment this week: Strawberry picking with Reese & Elliott
Miss Anything?  Reese's naps have disappeared! One week into our summer schedule and she has decided to forgo her naps. I need that time as much as she does!!!
Looking forward to: Feeling more baby kicks soon!

15ish weeks and 29 months :-)

Reese & Elliott at the Riverfest parade. Reese loved seeing Super Why and Clifford (or Clippard as she calls him).

Waiting patiently for daddy to fill her pool!
